This Is Your Time!

A college student who volunteers in our weekly Salvation Army Breakfast Brigade takes some time to chat with a member of our "Street Family"

A week ago I heard a pastor share on how this very slice of time for which you are a part was not an accident, coincidence or luck of the draw.  Every single one of you were purposefully created for the span of time you are living in.  Think about that for a moment.

The pastor went on to say that “your gifts, your talents, your personality and character were needed to fulfill God’s mission at this very moment in time and that no one else could do what He needs you to do.”  Some may live a life consisting of 26 years, some 14, some 77 or 99, whatever the amount of time, there was and is a reason for it all.

I encourage all of you to embrace your time here and see it as an amazing opportunity to be a life changer!  God desires to bring hope to those who are broken, life to those who feel dead and love to those who feel abandoned.  With God at the helm, we can all be a part of this and being the individual we are, that God wonderfully made, we can and will change the world one encounter at a time!

You may find yourself in a place where you are currently hurting, facing obstacles and can’t seem to get out from underneath the cloud from which you reside.  Fear not, this is merely a journey; a stepping stone down the path of life from which you soon learn just how strong you are in Christ. And how with perseverance and determination, you will overcome.  From these journeys we are able to share with others later on, who may be dealing with the same hang ups and hurts and from there, we can impact their life as only we can!

Dare to dream, dare to fly and dare to make a difference in this world!  Every single person who is reading this blog is amazing, is special and is nothing short of royalty in God’s eyes!

Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
