Catch A Sally Star!

A star when defined as an adjective means “celebrated, prominent, or distinguished” and that is exactly how we view our amazing volunteers, our donors, our staff, our officers our clients and beneficiaries.  They shine in any and all circumstances; allowing their light to be a ray of hope.

Our volunteers illuminate programs and ministries by their loving hands and giving hearts as they donate their time and energy to assist those in need.

Our donors who provide light at the end of the tunnel for so many lives with a stroke of the pen, the release of change into a kettle or the click of keys upon a keyboard.  They give so “Others” may truly live and realize their potential; the person God has desired them to be!

Our staff and officers whose commitment to the cause radiates daily into the lives of those we serve.  The passion, empathy, love and dedication to the mission is what provides a light unto the path of individuals who have lost their way.

Our clients and beneficiaries become beacons of hope and of light to those still struggling.  They have the ability to share their story, provide their insight and enable others to see clearly for the first time.  It equips them with the resources and tools to help others step out of the darkness and into a beautiful light; to experience the warmth and glow of the Son, Jesus Christ and the stars that encircle him.

So today we officially launch “Catch A Sally Star” an opportunity to recognize the many thousands of people who lift up and support this Salvation Army.  It’s our way of saying thanks and our way of acknowledging the blessing that is represented by the many who share the vision.

Matthew 5:15, “Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.”
